What do you like to do in your spare time? I like swimming and drinking coffee.
What’s your favourite thing about your work? I love to see children make progress with speech sounds and I love to hear what they have to say – especially when it’s ‘Mummy’ for the first time.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: I can speak Swahili and some basic Japanese but please don’t test me 😉
Charlotte Ryder
Speech Therapist, COO & Director
What do you love about your work? I love using augmentative approaches such as PECS and aided language boards to unlock a child’s language and be creative in exploring all the opportunities for communication with different resources and toys. My jumping Robot is a big favourite.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: I myself didn’t start talking until I was nearly 3 years old, and came out with a sentence rather than a first word, or so I’m told!

What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my family and I love travelling.
What do you love about your work? I love playing a game of buckaroo or bubbles in my sessions!
Tell us a random fact about yourself: An interesting or unusual fact about me is that I once tried to catch a bee to keep as a pet! (You can guess how that ended)

What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy ballet classes and running.
What do you love about your work? I love a good game of monkey business or crocodile dentist!
Tell us a random fact about yourself: An interesting fact about me is I took part in the opening ceremony of the 2002 commonwealth games in Manchester. I also collect vintage vogue magazines.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy family walks and discovering a good drama series on TV.
What do you love about your work? I love helping a young person discover the power of communication. Communication potential can always be unlocked, you just need to have the right bag of tricks.
Random fact: While in high school I modelled in a fashion show for the lovely Vivienne Westwood. Her shoes were amazing!

What do you do in your spare time? I have recently taken up tennis and have been really enjoying it. I also enjoy home baking and catching up with friends/family when I get the chance!
What do you love about your work? I really love that I can help children to communicate more effectively which can have a direct impact on their self-confidence, relationships and overall development. I also enjoy making therapy fun and engaging by using creative resources. I find it exciting to think outside the box to motivate and support each different child I work with!
Random Fact: I had speech and language therapy when I was child to help with my speech sound errors!

What do you do in your spare time? I love spending time with my children, going on holiday and walking.
What do you love about your work? My favourite thing to do in therapy is to help children make progress. I love using Lego therapy and I also love speech sound work, making speech happen, especially when a child starts off nonverbal.

What do you do in your spare time? I like being out of my comfort zone e.g , I started ice skating lessons in December, I love styling outfits and thrifting pieces of vintage clothing.
What do you love about your work? My favourite aspect of being a speech and language therapist is seeing a child progress and improve after each session, and how the child notices this, increasing their confidence and smile!
Random Fact: I was one of the youngest in the UK to qualify for my scuba diver PADI

What do you do in your spare time? I love reading, going on walks with friends and visiting my family who live in Ireland.
What do you love about your work? I love making a difference and building a good rapport with both the child and the family.
Random Fact: I wanted to become a SLT because I volunteered at a ‘Back To School Readiness Camp’ for children with Down Syndrome as a favour to my uncle and totally fell in love with the positive impact it has on children and families.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy walking my 2 pugs, spending fun days with my family and working out daily with team body project.
What do you love about your work? In therapy I like to play pop up pirate, Jenga and whack-a-mal. I love seeing the children having fun after they’ve worked hard.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: My guilty pleasure is Peter Andre and I have met him twice!

What do you love about your work? I love to read books like The Gruffalo and other Julia Donaldson books using different voices for the characters, using actions for each one.
In my sessions, I like to use what the child is most interested in first to build that initial starting point.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I love cooking, especially for family and friends. I enjoy going to the gym!
What do you love about your work? My passion is AAC and you never find me without a PODD book and a Piggy Bank Toy and good old bubbles just in case! It’s All About Communication for me!

What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my little boy and my pup.
What do you love about your work? I just love therapy. Supporting children whether it be using pictures to communicate or exploring Snap Core on the iPad, it’s just so rewarding.

Whilst in year 6 at school, I was in the Manchester Evening News supporting Road Traffic Week – sat on a tandem.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, running and I also love walking and hiking with my dog.
What do you love about your work? I really enjoy seeing the children progress and making my sessions as fun and exciting as possible!

What do you love about your work? There is nothing more rewarding than being part of a child’s progression and seeing a child reach a personal goal.
Random fact: I lived in China for just under 2 years teaching English and learnt very basic Mandarin.

Random fact: Louise means renowned warrior, although I’m a compassionate and understanding warrior who puts the needs of others first.
