Karen Massey – Speech Therapist, CEO & Director
What do you like to do in your spare time? I like swimming and drinking coffee.
What’s your favourite thing about your work? I love to see children make progress with speech sounds and I love to hear what they have to say – especially when it’s ‘Mummy’ for the first time.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: I can speak Swahili and some basic Japanese but please don’t test me 😉
Charlotte Ryder – Speech Therapist, COO & Director
What do you love about your work? I love using augmentative approaches such as PECS and aided language boards to unlock a child’s language and be creative in exploring all the opportunities for communication with different resources and toys. My jumping Robot is a big favourite.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: I myself didn’t start talking until I was nearly 3 years old, and came out with a sentence rather than a first word, or so I’m told!
Juwairia – Speech Therapist
What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my family and I love travelling.
What do you love about your work? I love playing a game of buckaroo or bubbles in my sessions!
Tell us a random fact about yourself: An interesting or unusual fact about me is that I once tried to catch a bee to keep as a pet! (You can guess how that ended)
Jayne – Speech Therapist
What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy ballet classes and running.
What do you love about your work? I love a good game of monkey business or crocodile dentist!
Tell us a random fact about yourself: An interesting fact about me is I took part in the opening ceremony of the 2002 commonwealth games in Manchester. I also collect vintage vogue magazines.
Khadijah – Speech Therapist
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love trying different foods and spending time with my friends and family.
What do you love about your work? I love seeing a child’s communication improve and the positive impact of therapy, it’s amazing!
Tell us a random fact about yourself: I am obsessed with donner, best food ever.
Katia – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with my sons and travelling.
What do you love about your work? I enjoy playing with balloons, bubbles and my Piggy Bank.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: In my hometown in Italy, friends call me ‘Radio Riva’ because I like to talk!
Leanne – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy walking my 2 pugs, spending fun days with my family and working out daily with team body project.
What do you love about your work? In therapy I like to play pop up pirate, Jenga and whack-a-mal. I love seeing the children having fun after they’ve worked hard.
Tell us a random fact about yourself: My guilty pleasure is Peter Andre and I have met him twice!
Karen B – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you love about your work? I love to read books like The Gruffalo and other Julia Donaldson books using different voices for the characters, using actions for each one.
In my sessions, I like to use what the child is most interested in first to build that initial starting point.

Sally – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time?I love cooking, especially for family and friends. I enjoy going to the gym!
What do you love about your work? My passion is AAC and you never find me without a PODD book and a Piggy Bank Toy and good old bubbles just in case! It’s All About Communication for me!
Hannah – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy spending time with my little boy and my pup.
What do you love about your work?I just love therapy. Supporting children whether it be using pictures to communicate or exploring Snap Core on the iPad, it’s just so rewarding.
Random fact:
Whilst in year 6 at school, I was in the Manchester Evening News supporting Road Traffic Week – sat on a tandem.
Aideen – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time outdoors, climbing, swimming or just going for nice walks and hikes with friends.
What do you love about your work? I love seeing children benefit from meaningful interactions and enjoying play during therapy sessions. Incorporating fun and games is such an important part and I keep this in mind for all sessions.
Random fact: I really really don’t like Nutella and have tried it many times to convince myself but it’s still a no from me.
Laura – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time?I spend a lot of my time practising yoga, reading and being out in nature.
What do you love about your work? I love watching the children grow in confidence in their own abilities.
Random fact: When I was a teenager I had a teeny chihuahua and a whole rail in my room was dedicated to her outfits 😬
Danielle – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time?I have 3 toddlers; I adore seeing them experience new things for the first time, whether that be exploring a new place, meeting new people or trying new foods.
What do you love about your work? There is nothing more rewarding than being part of a child’s progression and seeing a child reach a personal goal.
Random fact:I lived in China for just under 2 years teaching English and learnt very basic Mandarin.
Sophie – Speech Therapy Assistant
What do you like to do in your spare time?I enjoy going out on family trips and weekends away with my boys.
What do you love about your work? I love building relationships with the families and watching the children progress each week.
Random fact:I hate any food that has came out of the sea! Creeps me out for some strange reason.
